EURO 2016 qualifiers: Italy vs. Azerbaijan in Palermo, Italy vs. Croatia in Milan Friday 18/07/2014 09:22 Italy will play their first EURO 2016 qualifiers on home soil in Palermo and Milan respectively: Italy vs. Azerbaijan will take place on Friday, 10th October 2014 in the ‘Renzo Barbera’ Stadium, while Italy vs. Croatia will be played on Saturday, 16th November at the ‘Giuseppe Meazza’ Stadium. The Azzurri, who will host the Netherlands in Bari in a friendly match scheduled for 4th September, will play their opening match on the road to France 2016 on Tuesday 9th September in Oslo against Norway. Italy will be playing in Palermo for the eleventh time: One year ago, the Azzurri beat Bulgaria 1-0 in the ‘Renzo Barbera’ Stadium in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier thanks to a goal from Alberto Gilardino.
