The flight departed Galeao Airport in Rio de Janeiro last night and shortly stopped over at Malpensa Airport in Milan a few minutes ago. During the flight, FIGC Vice President and Head of Delegation Demetrio Albertini invited Andrea Pirlo to rethink his decision to quit the Azzurri: “If the new coach decides he needs my help, I am always happy to help,” answered the midfielder. Demetrio Albertini analysed the Azzurri’s experience at the World Cup yesterday, before leaving the Mangaratiba camp: “We take home something positive in terms of commitment and organization, but we are obviously disappointed with our performances on the pitch.
