Perrotta and Totti in, Camo out

In Italy's final training session ahead of tonight's World Cup debut,
Marcello Lippi tested Simone Perrotta in place of Mauro Camoranesi.
There have been conflicting rumours over the past 24 hours over
who will start the Ghana game at 8pm, including reports Luca Toni,
Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Del Piero and Alberto Gilardino would be dropped.
In the last training session at the Sport Park in Hanover,
Coach Lippi seemed to show his hand by fielding Roma star Perrotta
on the right flank of a three-man midfield along with Pirlo and
Giallorossi colleague Daniele De Rossi.
Francesco Totti was given his spot in the hole behind
Fiorentina hitman Toni and Milan's Gilardino,
suggesting the Vincenzo Iaquinta candidacy was used to
throw the media off the scent.
The defence was, as expected, made up of Cristian Zaccardo,
Alessandro Nesta, Fabio Cannavaro and Fabio Grosso with
Gianluigi Buffon between the posts.
If this line-up is correct, the Azzurri will start
the World Cup campaign with three Roma players, three from Milan,
two from Juventus and Palermo and one Fiorentina star.
