以下是男人幫私下聚會的會議紀實：
“Marriage is an expensive way to get our laundry done fo r free!”（婚姻
是讓我們的髒衣服免費洗乾淨的昂貴代價！）
“The most effective way to remember my wife’s birthdayi s to forget it
once!”（要記得我太太生日最有效的方法，便是忘記一次！）
“Men never knew what real happiness was until they got m arried; and
then it was too late!”（男人永遠不知道真正的幸福是什麼，直到他們踏上婚姻一途
；不過一旦結婚，一切都太晚了！）
“Do you know the punishment for bigamy? Two mothers-in-l aw!”
（「重婚罪」的懲罰為何？便是擁有兩個丈母娘！）
美國男人一般都超痛恨丈母娘，即 mother-in law，覺得她們既勢利又看不起自己，
現在一下子有了兩個丈母娘，難怪生不如死了！
