最近看到大家在討論 CSI 的小說，身為 GS shipper 的我當然要推一下 Cold Burn （其實也只看過這本） 這本書主要分成兩條線： 一個在沙漠發現的冷凍的屍體，Catherine、Warrick 和 Nick 合作的案子； 另一條線是 Grissom 和 Sara 飛到紐約參加研討會，地點是在紐約郊區的一間旅館， 然後原訂的研討會因為一場暴風雪而取消，被困在當地的就只有最早到的三個 CSIs， Grissom、Sara 和一個來自加拿大的 Gordon Maher...... 屍體＋暴風雪＋CSIs = 密室殺人事件？ （我強烈懷疑作者是金田一的粉絲……XD） 當然除了 GS shippy外，這條線另一個精彩的地方就是那個加拿大的 CSI 教他們兩個 如何在雪地裡蒐證...... 節錄三段書中比較有趣的GS片段跟大家分享，算是小雷吧！不想踩的人還來得及跳出去 （呃！好像有點長，是說要分三篇 PO 嗎？先 PO 一篇，如果大家喜歡再把其他兩篇也 PO 出來） 第一段 (Chapter 3, p37) 時間：G/S 到達旅館之後 地點：Grissom 房門口 場景：Sara 想要 "邀請" Grissom 到旅館外面散步，在敲了三次門之後，Grissom 終於 開門了，手中還拿著一本昆蟲書...... "Hey," she said, chipper. "Hey," he said, opening the door wide. "You look rested." Wow— that was one of the nicest things he'd ever said to her. Encouraged, she tried, "You wanna go for a walk?" He glanced toward the window on the far side of the room, then turn back to her. "Sara— it's snowing." She nodded. "And?" He considered that for a while. "I don't do snow," he said. "It's cozy, reading by the fire. You should try it." That almost sounded romantic... He frowned at her and added: "Don't you have a fireplace at your room?" "... I finished my books already." "The first thing the pioneers did was built shelter and go inside. Out of respect to them, I—" "Did you know there are 274 winter insects in eastern New York state alone?" He stilled, but clearly sensed a trap. "You make that up." Grinning, she handed him a printout. "Snow-born Boreus, Midwinter Boreus, Large and Small Snowflies and the Snow-born Midge…just to name a few." After a quick scan of the page, he said, "If you've got your heart set on it, I guess I'll get my coat." -- Comment: The bugs to Grissom just like the carrots to donkey that will push them moving on. -- TBC --
