A senior executive at AEG Live said the US pop singer would add the city at the end of her current tour, the Circus Tour Secrets, which has been billed as her comeback. “Bringing Britney Spears to Dubai will be a massive hit – we can see all the communities getting into it and the show being an unprecedented sell out, ” said the source on condition of anonymity. The executive said the organisers could not release an official statement until all of the show’s sponsors had been signed up. “Britney is confirmed 100 per cent, it is just a matter of working out the finer details, getting all the promoters on board and happy.” The official added: “An announcement will be made shortly. It’s imminent.” AEG Live, which established a permanent office in Dubai last year, has brought such stars as Iron Maiden and Kylie Minogue to the city in the past few months. The official hinted that the show would be at an outdoor venue after the summer. He added: “We have a number of venues that want to hold the show. And we will choose the one we see fit and can accommodate a large number of people. “Britney is the type of star that will attract people from all the communities that live in the UAE.” The US singer’s tour starts on Tuesday in New Orleans and continues until the end of April, with 36 concerts across the US before heading to London in June for five consecutive shows.
