以下是最近收到的郵件. 有興趣者可以報名參加. ------------------------------------------- Dear Jimmy I have been asked to send you the following message from Geert Magerman: After a workshop with students in Lodz (Poland) at the 4th World University Bridge Championships and the congress at the 1st Mind Sport Games in Beijing, we have decided launch a new team competition for university Bridge which will start (normally) in March 2009. It will be a team competition between university teams in different knock-out rounds, with semi-finals and finals. The opposing teams will be chosen by computer draw round by round, and the captains of both teams will have 1 month (=1 round) to schedule their match in common agreement on BBO. They may use the private club "University Room" on BBO to play their round. Only students between 18 and 28 can play in the university bridge teams. We appeal to the university spirit, a strong value of FISU (International University Sports Federation), to make it a fair competition. University teams (4 to 6 players) must be entered by e-mail before 1 February 2009 to [email protected] (with a copy to Anna Gudge, please : [email protected] ) with the name, email address, country, university and age of each of the players in the team. Please also indicate who is the captain. The number of teams that can be entered for this competition is unlimited. This new competition enables students to meet each other and connect between the international events.
