Francoeur, who hurt his left thumb making a diving catch in the top of the
ninth inning Sunday, had the thumb swell upover night and will have an MRI
Monday, Kevin Burkhardt of SNY-TV reports.
X-rays on the thumb were ngative but Francoeur said the thumb bent backwards
while making the catch. In a best case scenario, Francoeur will miss a few
days, in a worse case one, he will be sidelined the balance of the year with
a tear. More will be one following the MRI.
