Tommy Hanson allowed one run in five innings and combined with three fellow Braves prospects on an 18-strikeout game for Mesa of the AFL on Thursday. The Solar Sox lost 4-2 anyway, as Kris Medlen gave up three runs while striking out five over the final two innings. Hanson had 11 strikeouts and is now sporting a 30/4 K/BB ratio in 18 2/3 innings. The league is hitting .098 off him. Hanson's already plus stuff has translated especially well for these four- and five-inning outings.
