As many of you know, I've been in medical training for the past 3 years and while I've had every intention to update the site, I just haven't had the time to make it a reality. Looking ahead to the next few years, I realize that I'll probably have less time to devote. So I've decided after a great 5 years, that I will reluctantly close down shop. This was a difficult decision for me. But, I do realize that there are many sites out there today that offer similar resources to this site. This makes the decision easier because I know that I'm not leaving all of you in the dust. I'm simply passing all your generosity and kindness onto other great sites. I would like to take a moment and give my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has made this site a possibility. Without your generosity and support there would be no dylantree.com. I know there has been some slow times and some bad times, but overall I think this site has helped hundreds of Dylan fans start, expand, and share their collections. I'm quite proud of this. I am also quite proud that this was one of the first all-encompassing Dylan trading sites around. I know that many of the newer sites have based both what works and what doesn't work on the successes and downfalls of this site. It is nice to make such a positive influence on a community that has given me so much! So what does this all mean? I will slowly close down the site over the next few months. I will leave some portions of the site functional until the last days to allow completion of trades, vines, etc and also to promote some final generosity. Arthur Louie will take over the server to keep the Pool running while the other dylantree sites close. As far as I know, he has every intention on continuing to run dylanpool. In closing, it is my greatest hope that this site has served as a generous place where an amazing body of music could be shared and enjoyed. This was my original hope for the site and its guiding "light" over the years. To everyone who has graced this place at one time or another ...thank you and keep the music in your souls. I've enjoyed the ride and I hope you have too. Very best, Mike --
