James Kay ANSWER I am sure they did, not least because Colin Pillinger (of Beagle 2 fame) worked on some of the moon rocks that were brought back. He is an acknowledged expert on them, and would know fakes immediately. He would also tell NASA exactly where to shove it if they tried to threaten him into being part of some big conspiracy.
