Halladay sharp, Ryan not in Jays' loss Lane drives in two, hitting pair of RBI singles against Braves By Anthony DiComo / MLB.com Blue Jays at the plate: Outfielder Jason Lane provided the early offense, driving in a run with his single in the second inning. Then he did it again in the sixth, singling home the Jays' second run of the game. Blue Jays on the mound: Striking out the first two batters he faced, starter Roy Halladay proved effective, firing two shutout innings in his Grapefruit League debut. But Ryan did not share the same success, walking three batters in two- thirds of an inning and allowing four runs. Up Next: Scott Rolen will make his second start of the spring for the Jays on Sunday, in their first trip to the Rays' new Spring Training complex at Port Charlotte, Fla. Jesse Litsch will start for Toronto in the 1:05 p.m. game opposite Tampa Bay right-hander Jason Hammel.
