Last year was the first time that Israel had an official Little League baseball program that was recognized by Little League International. 去年開始以色列有了LLB認可的少棒聯賽 Israel’s Little League program consists of about 180 players between the ages o f 11 and 12. There are two leagues with one in the north and the other in the south. 分成北區聯盟和南區聯盟 The southern league is bigger and is split into a central division and a souther n division. 南區聯盟比較大，所以又分成中區、南區 At the end of the season, both leagues selected their all star teams and faced o ff for the national championship. The southern team prevailed and became Israel ’s representative. 賽季結束後，兩聯盟組明星隊對戰 勝方取得LLB以色列代表權 今年是由南區聯盟獲勝取得代表 One issue that may arise is that the semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Shabbat. Unlike other tournaments where it might be easy to move a game until af ter Shabbat, that likely won’t be possible here as Shabbat ends at 10:15 p.m. l ocal time.
