Red Bull Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund has confirmed that teenag e striker Erling Braut Haaland visited Germany for transfer talks with Borussi a Dortmund and RB Leipzig on Wednesday. The 19-year-old has emerged as one of Europe's most promising young forwards a fter a blistering start to the 2019-20 campaign at Salzburg. Haaland has netted 28 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions, includi ng eight in the Champions League, attracting attention from some of the world' s biggest clubs in the process. However, it now appears that the Bundesliga is his most likely next destinatio n, with Salzburg chief Freund confirming that Haaland met with Dortmund and Le ipzig representatives in person earlier this week. "We are involved in all discussions," Freund told a press conference on Thursd ay. "Of course, we also knew that Haaland was in Leipzig and Dortmund yesterda y. "Everyone in Salzburg wants the best for him." Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc was unwilling to divulge any informati on on Haaland, however, insisting he would not be drawn on any speculation reg arding the striker's future. When asked about the teenager's alleged trip to Westfalenstadion ahead of a Bu ndesliga outing against Mainz on Saturday, Zorc responded: "Neither to this no r to other personalities I will comment. "The focus is on our game in Mainz, to everything else there is no comment."
