It's been a busy two days in Seattle for NBA news.
On Wednesday, Christopher Hansen -- a San Francisco hedge fund manager --
granted an interview to the Seattle Times in which he discussed plans for a new
NBA-ready arena near Safeco Field. Hansen, a Seattle native, would fund part of
the construction.

Today, details of the plan were made public by city officials.
The Trail Blazers issued a statement from owner Paul Allen, who lives in
Seattle and owns the NFL's Seahawks and has a partial stake in the Seattle
Sounders of Major League Soccer.
When the Seattle SuperSonics were about to move to Oklahoma City and become the
Thunder in 2008, Allen was one of two owners who voted against the move,
joining Dallas' Mark Cuban.
Allen's statement:
It was a sad day when the Sonics left Seattle, a move I opposed. It's exciting
to think about the NBA coming back to Seattle and renewing the rivalry with the
Portland Trail Blazers. However, it is too early for me to comment any further
without a specific plan or proposal to review.
