Bayless is set to make $2,292,600 in 2010-11, and the Blazers hold a team option for the 2011-12 season. 2009-10: Posted averages of 8.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 17.6 minutes in 74 games (11 starts) ... Scored double figures 29 times, including eight straight appearances (1/20-2/3) for the first time in his career ... Made more free throws (201) than field goals (200). Trail Blazers guard Jerryd Bayless saw increases across the board in his second season with Portland. With a larger role, Bayless made progress in many areas, improving his points per game, field goal percentage, three pointers attempted, three point percentage, free throws attempted, free throw percentage, assists, etc. The athletic combo guard scored in double figures in five of the six first round playoff games against the Phoenix Suns, averaging 13.5 points in 28 minutes per game. In Game 1 alone Bayless surpassed his playoff totals from last season, 3.0 points, 0.5 rebounds and 5.5 minutes in two games. He's a tireless worker with the hunger and drive to improve.
