Diogu will replace Channing Frye, who has struggled in recent games, in what will be his first opportunity in the rotation this season. Through the Blazers' first 26 games, Diogu has not played in 15 of them and has logged just 36 total minutes. "It's pretty exciting," Diogu said. "I finally get a chance to go out there and show people what I can do. I feel like I have been working really hard and now I just have to take advantage because you don't know when it's going to happen again." McMillan said the move was made in part because Diogu has earned the opportunity during practice, but also admitted that part of the decision came because of Frye's struggles. In the Blazers' last 10 games, Frye, who is averaging 4.8 points and 2.4 rebounds on the season, has scored 19 points and is shooting just 28.6 percent (8 of 28) from the field.
