Trail Blazers Announce 2007 Training Camp Roster Portland adds three players on eve of training camp PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers have released their 2007 training camp roster, announced today by Trail Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard. The additions of forward Chris Ellis, forward Brent Petway and guard J.R. Pinnock bring the training camp roster to 18. The three players were signed to contracts Monday. Ellis, 23, played four games for the Trail Blazers’ 2007 NBA Summer League team. The Wake Forest product averaged 5.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per contest, and previously spent time with the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League. Petway, 22, went undrafted in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Michigan. He posted averages of 6.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.5 blocks his senior season with the Wolverines. Pinnock, 23, averaged 1.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in six games with the L.A. Lakers in 2006-07. The No. 1 overall selection by Rio Grande Valley in the 2007 NBA Development League Expansion Draft, Pinnock spent the 2007 NBA Summer League with the Washington Wizards.
