Two words Blazers fans don't want to hear: Roy's heel Posted by Jason Quick September 27, 2007 18:03PM This summer, Trail Blazers star Brandon Roy was playing pickup basketball in Seattle when a familiar, albeit unpleasant, feeling returned: Pain from his left heel. "It snuck up on me a little bit this summer,'' Roy said, saying it was the same pain, in the same area, that caused him to miss 20 of the team's first 25 games last season. "I had to come down (to Portland) and get treatment.'' Roy says there is no reason for concern, however, insisting that his left heel is problem free ... at the moment. "It's a deal where I don't know what it is,'' Roy said. "It was smooth, then one day I was playing and I was like 'There's that heel thing again', but it went away since then.'' I asked Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard if Roy's heel is a concern entering the season. "Not really,'' Pritchard said. "It's something to keep an eye on. Everyone gets consistent injuries during their career; when I was playing my Achilles always hurt. It's just something we are going to have to take care of and watch.'' The crux of the injury, discovered last season, is an abnormal growth on his heel bone. There was talk at the time of sending Roy to surgery to shave down the bone, but the team instead elected to give it rest. Pritchard said the team is not considering surgery now, either, and Roy said he doesn't foresee the heel becoming a problem. "I know how to treat it now,'' Roy said. "Last year, I was playing a lot, shooting a lot after practice, and just overdoing it. But I think me and coach (Nate McMillan) know how to monitor it a little better now, and I know how to talk to coach, where I can say 'Coach, I'm tired a little bit'.'' http://tinyurl.com/255m9m Roy的左腳踝好像又出問題了， 這次的位置跟上次的一樣，這個傷去年讓他缺席開季前25場中的20場比賽， 但是Roy覺得自己目前的傷只是個小問題， 他堅信這個傷並不會造成太大的困擾。 KP的說法也跟Roy差不多，他說球隊並沒有考慮針對這個問題進行手術。 --
