Just got back from Peninsula Middle School, where the Blazers introduced
three of their new rookies: LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy and Joel Freeland.
I'll have audio from the event in a moment, but in the meantime, here are a
few key things Nate McMillan said:
LaMarcus Aldridge: He's a 4-5 in that order. He's in tremendous shape, and at
the conclusion of his 1 1/2 hour pre-draft workout with the Blazers, he hit
the floor again and continued to display his talents.
Brandon Roy: He's a '2' who will see time at the point and also at the small
forward spot. Brandon will be playing point in Las Vegas, where the team
begins play on July 6th.
Joel Freeland: I was surprised to hear McMillan call Freeland a very good
shooter, someone who can help to spead the floor. He's a great athlete and is
a small forward/power forward. McMillan indicated he'll see more time at the
'4'.
