Quick's take: "The Blazers are still in serious conversations with the agent for Trenton Hassell. It looks like it's going to go down between them and Denver. Denver's offering 2.3 (million). ... The Blazers have inquired about two other free agents (Damon Jones and Eric Williams)." Clip 2 - What is Shareef Abdur-Rahim's status? Quick's take: "Shareef right now is convinced the Blazers are not going to trade him. He had a conversation with Maurice Cheeks and Maurice intimated to him that he's not going to be moved." Clip 3 - What is Darius Miles' status? Quick's take: "I've been assured that Darius Miles is going to re-sign with the Blazers. But he'll only do it for one year at 5.4 million dollars. ... They are very angry with the Blazers. ... They feel they've been lowballed." Clip 4 - Why are the Blazers being so stingy? Quick's take: "It's a direct turn from what we are used to with the Bob Whitsitt era where he would give these huge lavish contracts to these very average players. I mean, you think back to the contract that Ruben Patterson got." Clip 5 - Do you think, potentially, the Blazers have a shot at the playoffs? Quick's take: "I think they're looking ahead to two years from now, once Damon goes off the books, once Dale goes off the books ... As a fan that's hard to take because we saw so much potential last year. ... I think this is a non-playoff team once again." ERIC MARENTETTE Clip 6 - Is there one player who has stood out enough to make the roster? Marentette's take: "Darius Rice has done well ... he played much better in the second game (vs. the Spurs). He was six for twelve from three-point land. ... He and Qyntel Woods are leading the Rocky Mountain Revue in scoring. (Darius) would probably be the guy right now that has the best shot. " Clip 7 - How big of a setback is Viktor Khryapa's injury? Marentette's take: "He looked like a very solid defender .. he's quick, he's got long arms. There's a glut of small forwards right now ... I just don't know if there's much room on the roster." Clip 8 - How does Dickau look so far, in comparison to Telfair? Marentette's take: "(Dickau's) fighting for his NBA life right now and he's done a reasonable job, but Telfair's getting better every quarter. The guy is learning at an incredible rate. ... Cheeks right now rates Telfair higher than Dickau." Clip 9 - Did the Blazers make the right decision taking Telfair over Snyder? Marentette's take: "I've seen Snyder play twice and he's really struggled with his shot. For what the Blazers need right now ... I think they made the right decision. And I wouldn't have said that on draft day. ... (Snyder) was also a big talker in the game against Portland Friday night. ... It seemed to not bother Sebastian at all." Clip 10 - Eric breaks down the entire RMR roster Marentette's take: "At this point I'd say Dickau is really questionable. ... Qyntel has scored well, but I don't see his game being taken to the next level yet ... so far I haven't seen a lot of improvement. ... Outlaw can jump out of the building. He has a decent jumpshot, although it comes out of his hand sideways.
