(AP) -- Trail Blazer forward Zach Randolph was arrested Tuesday for driving under the influence of intoxicants, authorities said. Randolph was released a few hours later without being charged. Police wouldn't say what substance he is accused of using. Randolph could face a misdemeanor charge, punishable by up to one year in prison or a fine between $1,000 and $5,000, according to Multnomah County sheriff's Lt. Mike Shults. Randolph was to make his first court appearance on Dec. 30. A team spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment. The Blazers have been plagued by a series of arrests and infighting the past few seasons. Bonzi Wells was stripped of his co-captaincy and suspended for two games after cursing at coach Maurice Cheeks. And Damon Stoudamire is facing drug charges. But Randolph has been a bright spot for the Blazers this year, scoring 20 or more points nine times through the season's first 17 games.
