Dear Mr. JXXX and Mr. DXXX, This is Yun Sung ( Rebecca) who worked in FXXX Foods from September till today . The reason why I quit this morning is because I can’t take the UNWELCOME SEXUAL ADVANCES from the Supervisor Bill XXX anymore. During the time I worked there he has touched female employees too much, including grabbing girls in the chillers or anywhere with no people or cameras, holding girls on the waist. Even with people around he still rubs girls’ hands and holds girls’ shoulders and waists without any shame . This morning I went to Mr. AXXX's office and told him that I want to quit. Bill XXX was there and he flipped my bra's strings which Mr. AXXX saw and told him that this was very inappropriate. Bill XXX didn’t apologize to me and didn’t show any respect. We have been under this sexual harassment EVERY SINGLE DAY. No matter how much I enjoy working for this company, I can’t stand these sexual advances anymore. I’m not the only one who has been under this pressure; other Asian girls have also experienced it. This is very serious racial discrimination because we have never heard about this from local girls, only from Asian backpackers. We are Asian backpackers and we are new to this country so we need jobs and we are afraid to offend our supervisors and lose our jobs, which allows Bill XXX ake advantage and push our boundaries over and over again without any respect. Supervisor TXXX told people in the office about this problem when Mr. Bill XXX just started his work in FXXX Foods, but we still FEEL his disrespectful attitude everyday. RXXX is from the office and also the one who can spend time with the workers in the factory. In such a high position, RXXX could understand our situation deeply and should be more sensitive about this kind of behaviour toward girls. Please don’t let RXXX ignore this problem. Supervisor TXXX is now on her holidays which means no one can keep an eye on Bill XXX’s disrespectful behaviour. If anyone sees this e-mail, please forward it to Mr. JXXX and DXXX or anyone who can take charge of this situation. WE ARE BACKPACKERS! IT DOESN’T MEAN THAT WE ARE NOBODY. This e-mail is also an announcement. There are still lots of girls who work in this factory. We will follow this through either Asian works or local workers. Please make sure that you pay attention on this SEXUAL HARASSMENT and DISRESPECT problem. If this company doesn’t fix this problem and we don’t get any sincere apologies from Bill XXX, we will do everything with our power to sue this company and get everyone who has been involved and take responsibilities of this problem.
