標題[澳洲] NSW明年一月四號起火車確定漲價嚕

Sydney train fares may rise by 7.5%
Sydney train commuters will be slugged with a 7.5 per cent fare hike right at
the start of the new year, under a determination by the NSW pricing authority.
The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) released its final
report on CityRail fares on Tuesday, recommending a 7.5 per cent increase
from January 4.
IPART has also called for a total increase in fares of 12 per cent - plus
inflation - over the next four years.
It also wants a change in the fare structure whereby passengers would pay a
fixed initial charge, plus a price per kilometre travelled.
NSW Transport Minister David Campbell expressed concerns about this proposal
in October, saying it would mean big increases for commuters from the Blue
Mountains, the Illawarra and the Central Coast.
Mr Campbell was to hold a media conference later on Tuesday.
