A seventh-round pick out of California in 2010, Canha has 1,750 pro at-bats. While he’s not likely an everyday first baseman, the A’s are very innovative with their platoons and he might be able to find a role in a very crowded A’s first base picture. Chances To Stick: 50-50. ----------- Mark Canha, 1b, Marlins: A team looking for a backup corner bat could be interested. Canha has an above-average hit tool with average power. Primarily a first baseman, he can play third base or left field in a pinch, which gives him a potential backup role.
