標題[新聞] Astros sign trio to one-year deals

HOUSTON (TICKER) —The Houston Astros on Thursday signed pitcher Chris Sampson,
catcher J.R. Towles and infielder Drew Sutton to one-year contracts.
Sampson, 30, was 6-4 with a 4.22 ERA in a career-high 54 appearances last year
for Houston. In three seasons with the Astros, the righthander is 15-13 with a
4.12 ERA in 90 appearances, including 33 starts. He will make $449,000.
Towles, 25, hit .137 with four homers and 16 RBI in 54 games in three stints
with the Astros in 2008. His deal is worth $401,500.
Sutton, 25, hit .317 with 20 homers and 69 RBI for Corpus Christi of the Texas
League. His salary will be $400,000.
