They accepted from a bid from Newcastle earlier this month, but the Swede could not agree terms with the Tyneside club. Birmingham did reject offers from Blackburn and Villa, whilst the player also opted to shun a possible move to Spain. But now he could be given the chance to talk to Villa, as Birmingham look ready to let him go to their Second City rivals. Skysports.com understands the two clubs are still some way from agreeing the financial aspect of any deal but Larsson could be set for talks before the weekend.
