死胖子入主紐卡以來，買過最貴的球員，就是本篇專訪的主角－－
剛升格的捲毛隊長 Fabricio Coloccini（29）了。當年標價 10.6M 的他，
曾經一度無法適應英式足球，但在可樂的潛移默化之下，他也逐漸找回了防守高水準。
本季至今，紐卡依然保有全英超失球最少的記錄。身為後防線的領袖，以下是他的訪問：
"I can't remember the game, but I remember Kevin Nolan came to me
in the dressing room afterwards, he told me what they were singing about me,
I couldn't believe it. It's so funny. It moves me.
「我記不得是哪場比賽了，不過我還記得是凱文諾蘭告訴我的：
他賽後在休息室中跑來和我說，說球迷們為我唱歌－－那些歌詞的內容*（註）。」
「我簡直不可置信，超好玩的！這讓我很感動。」
"It makes me feel very special. Thankfully my wife thinks it's funny.
「我感到自己（在他們心目中）是很獨特的一員，謝天謝地，我老婆也覺得很有趣。」
"When I hear it I want to turn and clap, to show them I love them.
But I have to stay focused. My way to say thank you is to play well."
「當我又一次聽到球迷們在唱這首歌時，我很想轉過身去拍手唱和，
讓他們知道我有多愛他們。不過我在場上必須全神貫注，
我唯一能說『謝謝』的方法，就是把球踢好。」
即使不是以英文為母語，阿根廷捲毛還是成為了英超球隊的新隊長..
"There were a lot of players I thought were ahead of me,
Steve Harper, Shola Ameobi, Joey Barton, these are all Englishmen,
big characters in the dressing room.
「我認為在我之前，還有很多適合當隊長的好人選：
像是哈波、大阿梅、希特勒等等，他們都是講英語的本地人、和休息室中的要角。」
"I'm foreign, I didn't think I would be given such an honour but I'm so proud.
My dad could not believe it. I think he has told half of Argentina.
「我是一位外籍球員。我沒想過能得到這種榮耀，不過我非常驕傲。」
「我爹完全不敢相信我當上紐卡隊長。我想他大概把這消息炫耀給半個阿根廷了！」
"To be an Argentinian, playing in the Premier League
and to be captain of Newcastle United. It is unusual, no?"
「身為一位阿根廷人，在英超踢球，而且還成為紐卡的隊長。」
「這不是什麼稀鬆平常的事，對吧？」
除了女兒 Octavia（8）和兒子 Thiago（4）的支持，他還有其他堅定下去的原動力：
"It was a challenge for me to adapt but I never wanted to quit.
「適應英格蘭足球是個挑戰，不過我從不退縮。」
"That first year was difficult. I didn't speak the language,
it was a new culture, new country, new style [of football]
and I signed for a club with a lot of problems.
「剛來這裡的第一個球季是很艱難的：我不會說英文、全新的生活文化、
新的國家、新的方式（踢球），而且我還選擇了一家當時內部一團亂的球隊。」沒錯
"Relegation was hard. I felt like a failure, I was ashamed,
but I never thought it was a mistake to come to England.
I wanted to prove myself to Newcastle, to English football.
「降級是令人感到苦澀的。我感覺像是徹底失敗了、非常丟臉，
不過我仍然不認為來英格蘭踢球是錯誤的選擇。我想繼續在紐卡證明自己，
也同時證明自己能夠踢進英格蘭式的足球。」
"If I had left that summer I would have been a failure.
It made me more determined."
「如果我那年夏天選擇離開，就算是認輸了。這種想法激勵了我向上的決心。」
