New Benfica signing Javier Saviola has declared that he wants to feel "useful and important again" after a difficult spell with Real Madrid. The Argentine joined Madrid back in 2007 but played just a handful games for them and struggled to impress in any way, shape or form. Now, after agreeing a three-year deal with Benfica, he said he wants to play football and that he accepted the move because he needs to feel good about himself again. "I want to feel useful and important again. I feel that I have the confidence of the staff and that is a good starting point. I have many desires to play and show my talent," he said, in an interview with A Bola. The striker also admitted that one of his aims is to get back into the Argentine national team and that he lowered his salary to join Benfica.
