I'm happy playing in a team which maintained a consistently high level, and never gave up trying to turn the match on its head and win it in the second half. This team is getting better from match to match. I can see us making it to the final. It's always tremendous when you're in a team which plays together and stays together. This will help us on the way to the 2006 World Cup. Germany have an excellent team. They go out there knowing the job they have to do. We're just delighted we were able to dictate the play. Esteban Cambiasso (ARG) I'm very proud of my first goal in national colours, especially with my parents and my family watching from the stands today. Unfortunately, we have to switch grounds for the semi-final. We never had a plan to avoid Brazil, otherwise we wouldn't have been trying to score the winner. We had another young team out on the field, so we're totally satisfied with our performance. Pablo Aimar (ARG) Riquelme's free-kick was world-class. We're great friends, so he came over to me to celebrate. Hopefully we'll play together more often as a pair in attacking midfield, like we did today in the second half. Mario Santana (ARG) It's just not possible to play badly in a team like we have in Argentina at the moment. The Germans were physically stronger than us, but we stood up to them with our technical ability. We were clearly on top in the second half, and we were looking to win it. We gave it everything, but unfortunately we didn't quite get there. Javier Zanetti (ARG) It was a very high quality match. It was never easy, but we had improved by the end. However, I think Germany played better overall. I know that wasn't Germany's first-choice team, but they're still all good players and they were worthy of their places on the field. Argentina have definitely improved compared to the meeting in February. We'll carry on where we've just left off. That will take us into the final of the tournament and keep us on track for the World Cup. Gabriel Heinze (ARG) It was a tough match, but we knew Germany are like England, so they're always difficult opponents. We'll have to wait and see what happens now. Fabricio Coloccini (ARG) The Germans were obviously satisfied with the 2-2 draw. We were the ones going after the third goal. We can win this tournament, no matter who we meet in the semi-final. Timo Hildebrand (GER) I couldn't do anything about their goals. It was a superbly struck free-kick. The plan involving Bastian Schweinsteiger at the free-kick was what we agreed, but Riquelme simply took us by surprise. I think we played well. It honestly doesn't matter who we meet in the semi-finals. Bastian Schweinsteiger (GER) I hope the lads win the next match so I can play again in the final. We worked hard and well, but there's not a lot you can do against a player like Riquelme. Winning the group is great, but our goal is to w in the tournament. Sebastian Deisler (GER) We were much better tactically compared to our previous matches. However, we lack Argentina's coolness, the way they string together five passes in midfield.
