The lady in question is 24-year-old glamour model Katie Downes, girlfriend of guitarist Jamie Cook. The band are giving poor Jamie a hard time at the moment in a row over where the loved-up couple plan to live. We're told: "Jamie and Katie are finally taking the plunge and buying a place together. But they are arguing over where exactly to base themselves and now the Monkeys are getting involved. "They're telling Jamie to get a pad in London where singer Alex Turner lives." The problem is Katie already owns a ￡1million flat in Liverpool and is determined to remain up north. "It's becoming an increasing source of tension - and Jamie is the one bearing the brunt of it," our source adds. "He's got Alex and the lads in one ear, telling him to move down south, and Katie in the other, pleading with him to ignore them. "Friends are joking that she's turning into a modern-day Yoko Ono and turning Jamie away from the group. "No decision on where they're going to live has yet been made but, whatever happens, Jamie will be in for an ear bashing from at least one camp." We don't envy the poor lad, who spent the last two weeks in the studio with the band. Jamie, 23, met Katie in Liverpool in 2006 when the Arctics were recording their second album - Favourite Worst Nightmare. Since then they have been practically joined at the hip. Of course, Jamie's situation is not yet in danger of mirroring that of Yoko Ono and John Lennon. Back in the 60s, ardent Beatles fans accused Yoko of causing friction within the group and eventually contributing to their breakup in 1970. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. We're not exactly looking forward to seeing Katie and Jamie staging a love-in any time soon either...
