hi all, well, right now i am sitting at "besto denki" to tell you that i have finally left taiwan. I got a very short call from teddy yesterday, which i had to cut short right away because of no time and hurried to the airport... Well, i was a bit too late, let`s say way too late. Even too late to check in, coz the flight was already closed and the staff would not take me. Well, in end they did, with the remark of not having any meal on board. While taking off from CKS i felt a bit strange. Surely, Taiwan has been my beloved home for more than a decade and i would hardly have left if there would have been no discriminatory rules that prohibits foreigners fair chances on entrance exams. Strange is also that i took exactly the airline that has brought me to taiwan ten years ago on a travelling trip, although i didn`t fly with the airline inbetween (CAL, of course). The nice thing about japan is of course the hot springs. I went to one on the way home, a nice cold beer, and then seeing my four kids again. Of which only 2 recognized me (meimei,gege) instantly, while the other two went into hiding. Well, i guess now three of them recognize me. Only Mr.Sabi, the youngest of them doesn`t know who i am. The place where i live now is quiet and only half as big as my old place. But again it is on the first floor so that the kids can go out. Not yet though, maybe after a month or so. This noon i went to a very nice restaurant near by. Great food with a little buffet for just 1100Yen, which is really cheap. It feels good to be back, though my life is still pretty simple as my new apartment is still empty. No computer, tv, or radio yet. Just a fridge and an air condition (the first one in my life). Ok, i will go shopping now. And if you would like to come for a visit, you are welcome, of course. In two weeks i will go back to germany for a visit and get my driving license back, then i can drive again... cheers, eto, kanpai !! --
