Angels have checked in on Justin Upton and could consider Jason Heyward.
FOXSports.com reported on Tuesday that the Halos have been engaged in "ongoing
conversations" with the representatives for free-agent left fielder JustinUpt
on. Meanwhile, another option for the team would be signing Jason Heyward topl
ay right field, while shifting Kole Calhoun to the opposite corner.
Upton, 28, has posted an .832 OPS over the past seven seasons, averaging 25hom
e runs. Heyward is two years younger and hit .293/.359/.439 with 13 homersand
23 steals for the Cardinals this year.
