SANTA ANA – Sentencing was pushed back to Dec. 22 for a San Gabriel man
convicted in September of three counts of second-degree murder for the
alcohol-induced, high-speed crash that killed Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart
and two others.
Andrew Thomas Gallo, 23, was also convicted of two felony counts of driving
under the influence and causing great bodily injury and one felony count of
hit-and-run for the April 9, 2009, collision.
His sentencing had been scheduled for Friday before Superior Court Judge
Richard Toohey, but defense attorney Jacqueline Goodman asked for a delay,
which Toohey granted on Monday. Gallo faces a potential sentence of 51 years
and eight months to life in prison.
