Angels placed LHP Darren Oliver on the 15-day disabled list with a strained
left triceps. Oliver was impressive in his first start of the season
Saturday, but the extra effort put a strain on his already-weak left triceps
muscle. He should return in a little over two weeks. The move also served
another purpose, clearing room for Thursday's starter, Matt Palmer.

Angels placed RHP Kevin Jepsen on the 15-day disabled list with lower back
spasms. Jepsen had posted an unsightly 19.29 ERA and 3.43 WHIP in 4 2/3
innings so far this season and accordingly should not have been an option in
fantasy leagues when healthy.
