Rivera was suspended for 50 games on Friday after testing positive for
performance-enhancing substances, the Associated Press reports.
Recommendation:
His suspension will take effect immediately. Four of the 10
minor league players suspended for violating the drug program this year have
been in the Royals' farm system.
