The preferred candidate would have a Ph.D. degree in either analytical chemis try or biochemistry. The successful candidate for this position will be expect ed to have hands-on experience in TMT labeling, phosphopeptide enrichment, LC separations, phosphoproteomics, database searching, and data analysis. Efforts will include method development, sample preparation, and separation methods f or enhancing detection sensitivity, sample throughput, and reproducibility in quantitative phosphoproteomics analysis of small samples. The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively with an interdis ciplinary team of researchers, be self-motivated, and have excellent verbal an d written communication skills. The successful candidate will assist, and poss ibly lead, in the preparation and presentation of papers, posters, reports, et c. Additionally, he/she will use project management systems at PNNL, maintain an accurate laboratory notebook, adhere to Environmental Safety and Health (ES &H) Operations, and follow security requirements as well as directorate/group policies. The duration of this ap pointment is two years, with the option of extending the appointment for up to three years. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years (60 months) or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university. Preferred Qualifications Strong organization and communication skills are needed to work efficiently in a team environment and to effectively demonstrate project success. Experience in TMT labeling, phosphopeptide enrichment, LC separations, phospho proteomics, database searching, and data analysis. Solid publication record or handling small samples is plus. Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related fie ld is required. --
