Tomic, 19, has slashed his ranking from 208 at the start of this year to a career-high mark of 41. Along the way, the towering 193cm Gold Coast teenager became the youngest man to make the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 25 years and ended Lleyton Hewitt's long reign as Australia's top-ranked player. "It's (been) a good year for me and, hopefully, I can have a good year next year and get stronger and improve and that's what I'm really aiming for," Tomic said at the Lleyton Hewitt Charity Day in Sydney. "I'd love to play well. I think if I have a good year, I can make the top 20, that's my goal.
