Maicon signs for AS Roma
Maicon has joined AS Roma on a permanent deal.
The Brazilian full-back arrived at City last August but found first-team
opportunities limited and he made just 11 appearances during the 2012/13
campaign.
With Pablo Zabaleta and Micah Richards seemingly ahead of him in the battle
for the right-back role with the Blues, the 31-year-old has opted to return
to Serie A to continue his career.
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Maicon good luck at his new club.

L’A.S. Roma S.p.A. rende noto di aver sottoscritto un contratto di prestazione
sportiva con il calciatore Maicon Douglas Sisenando, di durata biennale, con
scadenza al 30 giugno 2015.
Il calciatore proviene dal Manchester City FC, con il quale ha rescisso il
proprio contratto contestualmente alla firma dell’accordo con l’A.S. Roma.
