The Switzerland international has been tracked by the Italian side since last summer and now looks set to finally complete a switch to the Stadio Olimpico, where Roma are currently challenging for the Serie A title. Palermo and Wolfsburg have also expressed an interest in Behrami but the player has told West Ham he wants to play for Roma, who are managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri. Roma officials are in advanced talks with West Ham and all parties are confident that a deal will be concluded in the New Year as the Hammers look to raise cash to improve their fortunes on the pitch.
