The move has been rumoured for months, but a deal has now been finalised, according the the club's official website. The 24-year-old has signed a four-year deal, starting at a salary of €700,000 per season and rising to €900,000 by 2012. Guberti was one of the key contributors in Bari's impressive season, as they finished first place in Serie B, thus gaining promotion to the top flight. The confirmation of coach Luciano Spalletti staying on at Roma was a factor in the former Ascoli player joining the Giallorossi, according to reports. The Cagliari-born winger is expected to be part of the starting XI next season and is considered a prospect for the Italian national team by some sections of the press.
