Fiorentina are competing with Milan and Juventus to sign Manchester United
winger Nani, according to the Daily Mail.
Nani caught the attention of Europe's biggest clubs last week when he
expressed his unhappiness at Old Trafford.
The Portugal international believes he is overlooked whenever United play a
big game.
The Mail believes Fiorentina want Nani on a six-month loan before negotiating
a permanent ￡15m in the summer.
The Viola certainly have the cash to pull off such a deal after qualifying
for the Champions League and selling Felipe Melo to Juventus for in excess of
￡20m.
Mind you, Fiorentina have recently signed Marco Marchionni, another winger,
and Cesare Prandelli, the Viola's trainer, isn't a fan of primadonnas.
Nani performed well for Portugal at the weekend. However, his record of just
two goals in 11 appearances for United this season suggest, if there was ever
any doubt, that he isn't the next Cristiano Ronaldo.
