Although Fiorentina have confirmed that they have met with the Milan giants, they insist the 31-goal striker is going nowhere. “Our attacker in untransferable and our meeting with them was an opportunity for us to inform Inter of that fact,” stated Fiorentina director general Pantaleo Corvino. “Our future starts with Luca Toni,” he underlined. Toni’s days in Tuscany were placed in doubt last month when he admitted that he had a few problems to resolve with the club. It’s believed that Toni has asked for a new improved contract with the Viola after his goal exploits following his move from Palermo in 2005. Meanwhile, it is understood that Fiorentina have asked Inter for the services of stopper Alessandro Potenza.
