Univeristy of Southern California, USC
美国南加州大学在台办事处
徵求多位 part-time 实习生 (part-time student interns)
[WHO ARE WE?]
USC International Office - Taipei, set up by USC in 1998, as a non-profit
service office for the whole school.
We help our USC visitors with all their needs in Taiwan.
We work very closely with alumni and alumni groups in Taiwan for all kind
of events and activities.
We also work with USC new and current students. Besides, assisting those
that are interested in our school is of course one of our functions. There are
also 3 other international offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Mexico City.
CurrentlY, each office is staffed with 2 to 3 people.
[WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR? -- SEVERAL PART TIME STUDENT INTERNS]
If possible, we would like to have several part-time student interns to
assist our office projects and daily operations.
[WHAT KIND OF WORK THE PART-TIME INTERNS ARE EXPECTED TO DO?]
Depends. Basically the part-time interns will be working closely with
office staff to get projects or admin. work done.
[WHAT DO WE OFFER?]
A friendly real-life work environment - though a small office, we have
all sorts of events, activities, and projects going on which the student
interns will have a chance to work on and experience from.
This will be a great learning opportunity during your school time and
will be an important additionto your personal resume for job search.
Interns will have access to the first-hand information for overseas
study preparations.
Interns can also participate in our USC alumni or school events and
get to know people that have overseas education experiences. A great
networking opportunity.
We don't "pay" for the part-time internship but we do provide "meal
and transportation allowances" to cover the basic expenses, currently
NT$120 for lunch and NT$100 for transportation per day. The allowance
is claimed every month.
Whenever appropriate, interns will also have a chance to go to fairs
held inside the Exhibition Hall.
[FREQUENCY AND LENGTH OF TIME?]
If possible, we would love to have the part-time intern come to the
office at least once or twice a week (for a full work day each).
Interns are expected to arrive around 9:15 a.m. and stay around
5:30 p.m. There is a 1-hour lunch break.
[WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS INTERNSHIP?]
* love to know more about "study abroad"
* love to assist other people
* good at details but also outgoing enough to assist in some
events/activities
* pleasant personality and patient
* good (or fair) command of English
* fair knowledge in website maintenance (not required but will be a plus)
* not financially concerned
* can spare at least 1 full day per week to assist
[WHERE ARE WE?]
The office is located right inside the Taipei World Trade Center,
Exhibition Hall #1.
[TAIPEI OFFICE HOURS?]
Our regular office hours is from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
