Quantum optics with superconducting qubits (Experiment)
About City University of Hong Kong:
City University of Hong Kong is a young, fast-growing, research university. Th
e Department of Physics was founded in 2017. The last Research Assessment Exer
cise conducted by the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong, ranked CityU’s ph
ysics second in Hong Kong.
General information:
Quantum Engineering Laboratory (Hoi Lab), Department of Physics, City Universi
ty of Hong Kong is looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students to work on low-
temperature experiments on superconducting qubits. We are using superconductin
g qubits for state-of-the art quantum optics experiments. We work with the bes
t tools and aim for scientific breakthrough results.
Major responsibilities:
This position is mainly focused on cryogenic microwave measurements and analys
is on superconducting qubits.
Requirement:
Master degree in related topic
Good programming skills
Strong ambition and highly motivated
English test score (minimum TOFEL = 79, or IELTS = 6.5 CET6 = 490)
Salary and duration:
The scholarship of Ph.D. student is 17500HKD/month. Applications will receive
full consideration until the positions are filled.
Outstanding candidates are encouraged to apply for Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Sc
heme, the scholarship can be up to 26600HKD/month.
