标题[问题] IPFW住宿合约

各位好，我之前有上来问一些关於交换学生的问题
在板上得到很亲切且有用的回应
现在又遇到一些关於住宿的问题，希望各位可以提出意见，谢谢大家
我读的是IPFW（Indiana University-Purdue Universtiy Fort Wayne）的秋季班
打算从8/9开始住到12/18学期完毕，可是关於契约上却是这样子写
Housing Agreement Term
Resident agrees that the housing agreement term will begin on
August 18,2011 and terminate on May 16, 2012 (the "term")
Rent
In consideration for the Resident's rights and privileges hereunder,
the Resident agrees to pay Owner the amount of $5,320 ("Rent")
in 10 installments, beginning July 01, 2011 and ending April 01, 2012
等於说契约从7/1开始打，到明年的4/1
我写信跟他说我们的时间，而且表明他契约上的时间太长
回应是
My apologies for the errors but we copied everything from the Universtiy
System to create your lease, The only lease dates I can give you are
8/18/11-05/06/11 all of our lease are the same, if you are only here
for one semester due to your exchange program we can cancel the second
semester of your lease without penalty. Attached is a new lease.
= =我在想他日期是不是给错？
然後新的契约上，时间完全没变
只有把他打错的地址跟电话改对
请问像这种情形我该怎麽做？
我有打电话到美国去问，但碍於我听力不好，讲得也不清不楚
然後他是说把10个月的installments砍半，变5个月
但是从7/1开始算根本不合理，等於被白赚一个月的住宿费
且信中写8/18开始，契约却从7/1
我完全搞混了
像这种情形我能怎麽做呢？
希望各位能给我一些意见…
