I would prefer to have you as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) or Graduate Research Assistant (GRA).
This way your tuition (which is significant for out-of-state students) would be
covered. I am waiting to hear about the availability of funding to cover you
either as a GTA or GRA. Faculty divide up GTAs fairly equally. Because my GTA
allocation is completed, we need to find out if some students
(who were awarded GTAs) decide not to attend UCF.
And for a GRA we need to get a better picture from the
funding agencies for next year.
I will forward your information to several of Doctor X’s and my students
who will be attending the sea turtle conference so that you can meet.
