Description of position Postdoctoral researcher position available in the Dept. of Neuroscience, The Ohio State University, to conduct research characterizing newly identified glutamate transporter activators and testing the activators in neurodegenerative disease animal models. The trainee will gain experience in translation of basic research into new therapeutic approaches as well as drug development. Qualifications The position requires strong training in molecular, cellular, biochemical, and animal techniques, including immunohistochemistry, cell culture, RNA analysis, protein analysis, and animal behavior analysis. Candidates should have a PhD degree with major in neuroscience or molecular/cellular biology.
