For Marriott Bonvoy® Members:
Elite Status
Are you extending Elite status for Members in 2022?
Yes, we are extending Members’ current Elite status through February 2023, whether earned in 2019 or 2020.
Members who earned status in 2021 are already enjoying their status through February 2023.
When will status extensions be reflected in the account section of the Marriott Bonvoy® app and web page?
By December 2021, qualified Members will see their Elite status expiration extended in their account.
Members can view their account by logging into Marriott.com or via the mobile app.
Points Expiration
Is points expiration being extended?
To provide you ample time to redeem Marriott Bonvoy® Points,
the expiration of points is paused until December 31, 2022 (previously March 31, 2022).
At that time, your Marriott Bonvoy® Points will only expire if your Account has been inactive for at least 24 months.
Free Night Awards (FNAs)
Is the expiration date for Free Night Awards (FNAs) being extended?
By December, Members who currently have a Free Night Award (FNA) with an expiration date between January 3, 2022 and June 29, 2022 as part of as part of their cobrand credit card benefit, annual choice benefit, promotions, or travel package will be able to redeem it through June 30, 2022.
Certain hotels have resort fees.
Suite Night Awards™
Is the expiration date for Suite Night Awards™ (SNAs) being extended?
By December, Members who have Suite Night Awards™ previously set to expire on December 31, 2021 will see their Suite Night Awards™ expiration extended to June 30, 2022.
