十月罂粟花

就连今晨的阳霞都无法安排出这片片红裙
救护车上的女士亦然
即便她鲜红的心从外套内绽放出来触目惊心--
赠礼，爱的赠礼
硬是送来
给天空
那苍白又灼烈地
引燃它的一氧化碳的天空，给眼睛
在一顶顶礼帽下驻足漠然观看的一双双眼睛
我的天啊，无论我是何者
那一张张迟来的嘴皆当开口哭喊
於霜林中，在开满蓝色矢车菊的拂晓

Even the sun-clouds this morning cannot manage such skirts.
Nor the woman in the ambulance
Whose red heart blooms through her coat so astoundingly----
A gift, a love gift
Utterly unasked for
By a sky
Palely and flamily
Igniting its carbon monoxides, by eyes
Dulled to a halt under bowlers.
O my God, what am I
That these late mouths should cry open
In a forest of frost, in a dawn of cornflowers.
